It's River Phoenix all over again, I guess.

When I went to see "I Am Legend" at the IMAX, they had the Dark Knight ten minute teaser. Everyone loved it so much that they actually aired it twice. Heath Ledger's version of the Joker was downright strange, yet eerily cool.

So I'm at work when Flow messages me via Aim about what happened to Heath Ledger. Needless to say I'm very shocked...having only caught the ten minute preview for The Dark Knight, it looked like Ledger brought a lot to the table. It may turn out to be like The Crow for him, honestly. I wonder if the WB will at least have something to say about it all.

And then there's his family to consider. Doesn't he have a daughter that's two? And Michelle Williams, what about her? Man, that has to be rough to explain. I can't imagine how that's going down.

Man, that's just sad. .

I don't know, River Phoenix ODed on Heroin and Cocaine while Heath appears to have ODed on over the counter sleeping pills which, at least in my opinion, is not nearly as bad. They were legal and he was at home, probably trying to finally get some rest since he'd complained only a few weeks prior that he'd been getting only two hours of sleep a night.

But that's just my take on things. It's still incredibly sad. He seemed like a really nice guy. :(

That's an interesting take. I thought them similar in terms of being two young people that died way before they should have. Heath's does seem worse in the sense that it looked like he was just trying to take a nap (though we'll never really know for sure - there were supposedly a lot of drugs at the scene). Ultimately, a sad incident. Let's just hope it wakes up the rest of young Hollywood (at least the part that's boozed and doped up).
